SUNSHAFT was inspired by an intense shaft of sun light reflected on the deepest ocean, Deirdre Dyson pares back her view to its most graphic forms and uses simple tones with bursts of silk to recreate the effect of light on water, with the irregular centre naturally leading the eye.
100% Hand knotted, this contemporary rug would be the perfect addition to any room in your home but would work particularly well in a sitting room, hallway or bedroom.
All Deirdre Dyson rug designs are customisable and can be scaled up or down into your specified shape and size, including runners.
All Deirdre Dyson rugs are designed in Britain by Lady Dyson and made from Tibetan wool and/or pure silk.
Each design can be recreated in any colourway, in our standard pile height of 10 mm or a lower pile for hanging. Each carpet contains 100 individual knots per square inch (the size of a postage stamp). Knot count can be increased for finer, more detailed designs and every rug is made to order by our skilled Nepalese craftspeople on the loom, using age old techniques and hand made tools.
