For ‘Energy’, Deirdre challenged herself and the highly skilled team of Nepalese weavers. She restricted herself to only using straight lines, frequently changing their direction to add interest. A delicate silk border breaks each stripy woollen section. She says, “The result for me was that the groups of lines were forcibly nudging each other for a position, so the title ‘Energy’ seems to fit.”
