Calming
We really enjoy celebrating colour at Deirdre Dyson and love it when clients go big and bold but sometimes something quieter and more calming is called for and Deirdre’s bespoke rug designs cater just as well for subdued spaces.
The joy of custom design is even the boldest carpet can be re-coloured in a more understated palette and have just as successful finished outcomes.
However here we look at some of Deirdre’s hand knotted rug designs which were conceived to be on the more neutral end of the spectrum.
SUN SHAFT and AIRBORNE both feature wonderfully subdued palettes, in quieter tones which would happily sit in an existing interior without ‘shouting’. Sometimes a lighter touch and a minimal pattern is required where colour can be subtly introduced in silk motifs on a neutral wool background, which we see in STREAMER.
