Lady Deirdre Dyson creates at least one themed rug collection every year, adding to her extensive library of designs that are commissioned from around the world—by individuals, designers and architects.
With a background as a skilled artist and colourist, these beautiful and original creations are displayed between her galleries in London and Paris.
Inspiration is discovered and never sought, as natural as it always has been for Deirdre. With her professional team and skilled weavers, Deirdre’s concepts, sketches and paintings are developed into beautifully hand-crafted carpets that are tailored to suit a clients’ specification.
The bespoke journey is a fascinating blend of art and process, of ancient skill and new technology, creating highly unique and original rugs to call your own.
Twenty-five years on, she continues to work with the same craftspeople, still refining and improving their collective process. Deirdre Dyson’s carpets are both renowned for their quality and celebrated for their design within the interior and architectural worlds, creating timeless pieces of heirloom quality to be enjoyed and cherished for generations.

The Art of Hand-Knotting
Quality craftsmanship requires time. From Deirdre’s initial design ideas and sketches, through the skills of our weavers to our London team, we make sure that only the best materials and considerations are invested in creating modern, heirloom quality carpets for your home and interior space.
A design consultancy service is available at our Flagship London gallery located in the centre of the Chelsea Design Quarter. For our International clients, we have a beautiful showroom in the heart of Paris—in the design district of St-Germain-des-Pres.
From a palette of 5,000 available colours, the Tibetan wool used in our Goodweave Certified carpets is rich in natural oils, making it not only soft and naturally stain resistant but also very hardwearing. The superior Pure silk that is incorporated into many of our designs is smooth, cooling and full of vibrancy.

Consultation
Start your bespoke journey with a design consultation. We are here to assist and guide you in the process and answer any questions you may have.
Design
We will adapt any of our designs to your exact requirements—by colour, size and shape. Only when you are happy with the final artwork for sign off, will production on your bespoke rug begin.
Make
All our rugs are hand knotted using only nature’s materials—Tibetan wool, pure silk or a combination of both. These natural fibres are both hardwearing and easy to maintain.
Craft
Your bespoke rug will be expertly hand-knotted on a traditional loom by our skilled, Nepalese artisans. All carpets are Goodweave Certified.
The Finish
Your hand-knotted rug is then carefully carved for detailing, trimmed and hand finished ready for washing and drying. Every carpet is quality checked before being carefully packed and ready for delivery.
Delivery
Your carpet will arrive securely packaged and complete with our Care Guide on looking after your bespoke rug. UK delivery is free on all bespoke orders. Two-man delivery and white glove service is charged as extra. We happily ship worldwide . International delivery is calculated by weight, volume and according to the final destination.

Deirdre Dyson’s Fine Art
Deirdre Dyson, renowned for her subtle and inventive carpet designs, is first and foremost a painter and has maintained a distinctive practice alongside her design work.
In March 2023, she exhibited new art works that openly revel in the interplay between her painting and design. Trompe-l’oeil designs and subtle effects of light and colour once achieved through silk and wool, from sketches originally drawn up in pencil, are here translated into oil paintings. Seizing on paint’s potential to create multiple overlapping layers of colour, Dyson transforms complex geometric patterns and imagery drawn from natural phenomena into a series of vibrant art works. All reflect her interest in pattern, movement, light and shadow, and the multifarious impact of refracted light on form and colour.
