Deirdre is Top of Design for the second year running with POUCH!
We are delighted to announce that Deirdre Dyson has been awarded Top of Design by Marie Claire Maison and the Consumer Guidance France Institute.
The esteemed panel of judges reward creativity, inventiveness, style, innovation, design and sustainability, in all areas of the home and Deirdre is thrilled her fun hand knotted rug design POUCH from this year’s ‘Melange’ collection has been recognised in the carpet category!
POUCH is a soft-to-the-touch hand knotted Tibetan wool rug with rounded corners and fluid silk contours, rendered in a range of neutral taupe tones that create a three-dimensional effect. Inspired by Deirdre Dyson’s simple observation of a crumpled napkin, its electric-blue silk outline – a nod to Yves Klein – defines the shape with striking clarity.
A unique floor covering, POUCH creates a humourous, trompe l’oeil effect, hand knotted to knot precision in the finest wool and pure silk by our Nepalese artisans.
