Deirdre Dyson celebrates 25 Years of Carpet Design

At the turn of the millennium, frustrated by the lack of contemporary carpets that matched her aesthetic, Deirdre received a suggestion from a carpet dealer on the Kings Road: why not design her own? He offered to manufacture her designs, sparking a fruitful partnership. Over time, Deirdre took full control of the business, transforming it into the globally recognised brand it is today.

Now, a quarter of a century later, with galleries in London and Paris and an extensive archive of exquisite custom made rug designs, Deirdre continues to innovate. Each year, she unveils a fresh collection of stunning hand-knotted rugs. This year is no different, as the eagerly anticipated LIGHT PLAY collection will debut next week in Paris during Maison et Objet #InTheCity, presented in her dedicated Paris gallery at 12 rue des Saints-Pères, 75007.

Throughout 2025, we’ll revisit Deirdre Dyson’s classic carpet designs, sharing the fascinating stories behind their creation. Additionally, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new website to celebrate her award-winning designs. This platform will enhance the experience for both private and trade clients, making it easier than ever to find the perfect custom hand-knotted rug for any project.
