Our designs are the manifestation of the creative vision and artistic talents of proprietor Deirdre Dyson, combined with hundreds of years of technique evolution by Nepalese craftsmen. These creative processes are all professionally overseen and administered by our expert management team.

We are proud that in addition to our Nepalese suppliers, our hand tufted carpets are made here in Britain.
We are continually developing and experimenting with new ideas leading the way forward in this exciting field of textiles. Our designs are recognised the world over as a benchmark in originality and quality.

DEIRDRE DYSON: PROPRIETOR AND DESIGNER
Deirdre trained at the Byam Shaw and Wimbledon College of Art. She is ably assisted by Company Manager, Edison T. Abidi, who holds a degree in interior design, so is able to bring an artistic eye as well as practical advice to clients. Designer Nichola Webb transposes Deirdre's designs from paper to computer, accurately rendering the detail, colour harmonies, vignettes and stylistic character of Deirdre's work into exact artwork for the maker to create the finished carpet.
But to really appreciate what makes Deirdre Dyson’s carpets so special, you need to touch: the contrast between wool and silk is wonderfully sensual and the shading effects exquisite. It’s hard to keep your hands off them.

Dyson knows precisely where to stop. Her designs appear effortless, but as good designers will confirm, knowing how and where to edit and stop are skills that many may never master.
Her carpets are an exploration into abstract art. Simplicity of line and exceptional use of colour added to compositions made without the use of repeats, are Dyson’s calling card, but her stealth weapon is the way her colourist supremacy is highlighted through technique and fibre selection.

Deirdre’s fine art background is evident in her creative approach to carpet and textile design. These are paintings which are too good to walk on. Watch out for the silk components – it makes a visual textural quality whilst on a tactile level, you won’t be able to stop stroking it.
